Let’s Admit It Everyone Secretly Hates Romantic Suspense Novels

When I say that, I don’t mean hate it hate it. But really, there has to be a limit to how intense a book can get. As if extreme chemistry and scorching hot sex scenes weren’t enough, but now there is the plot that just keeps you on the edge of your seats. Which makes you excited and frustrated at the same time, forcing you to keep turning the pages and wanting more. Sleep is too overrated anyway, right? All you can do is to create a physical distance between the book and yourself to actually put these down to ever concentrate on the real world. Remember, work and life? – nope you won’t!

You gotta secretly hate it, right? But if you, just like me, love the misery and can’t help but keep coming back for more, I have something for you. Read on to know my favorite romantic suspense novels for your future love-hate relationships.

1. Cain by Lane Hart

Everyone asks me why I’m so angry all the time. Let me count the ways. I threw away my dreams when I was forced to fight and beat men bloody for her, but she doesn’t even know it. Whenever I try to protect her, she pushes me away. I’ve been in love with her for three damn years, and she only sees me as a friend! After one monumental f*ck up, nothing will ever be the same between us, and I know that I only have myself to blame.

2. Desired by Nicole Cypher

Trafficker, Such a negative connotation to the word, but I supposed it fit. It’s not as if I felt guilt for the women I sold. They weren’t people, they were a commodity. That was until she came along. From the first time I laid eyes on her she pulled me in. Consumed my every thought for weeks as I watched security feed of her lying in that dirty cell. I had to have her for myself. By the time the auction came around, she wouldn’t be in attendance.

Desired by author Nicole Cypher. Book One cover.

3. Julius by Nicole Cypher

They say success is the best revenge. I say it isn’t enough. I’ve spent the last twenty years building my empire, but I’ll never forget the gutters I had to crawl through to get here. Or the enemy who made it that way. Kevin Cryson, the man who destroyed my life. It isn’t enough to build my own empire if I can’t crush his. Luckily, I’ve found his weak spot. The perfect lure in the form of a brown-eyed devil with chestnut hair and a deviant smile. The princess he never should’ve let leave the castle.

4. Royal Beast by Nikki Chase

I didn’t know about the secret palace in the woods. Not until I held a stolen rose from its gardens. A tall, dark, and mysterious man lives within the palace. He’s known across the kingdom as the royal beast. They say he’s a monster. He also happens to be the crown prince. As punishment for my crime, the prince orders me to spend one month as his prisoner. But instead of throwing me into the dungeon, he whisks me into his bedchamber. The arrogant bastard says he’ll make me beg to give up my virginity. I tell him there’s no way in hell that’s happening, of course.

But I’m bound by blood to protect the Malchov crime family. And Cherry is a liability I can’t afford. If she lets her guard down around me, I might take more from her than she could ever imagine.
