Want to know what inspired Lauren and Vance’s unforgettable love story?
Brooke Page is spilling all the SECRETS
When I was fourteen, my family traveled south for our first ever beach vacation over Spring Break. I’m from a suburb in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where it tends to be nasty cold, and the bitter temps can last all the way through April, if not longer! The moment I stepped onto the Alabama shoreline, I was soothed by the ripples of the waves and salty breeze of the sea. From then on, the white sand of the gulf will forever have a place in my heart.
Fast forward to adulthood, I found my way back to the tranquility of the shore, but this time with my own husband and children. This is when The Riptide Series was born.

Based in a small beach town, Lauren, the main character, escapes from her own small town with her best friend, Mindy. Nineteen year old Lauren’s chaotic life back home entails a drug addicted mother, financial strains, and an undeserving boy who’s been in love with her since the day they met. Her stress-filled heart is quickly remedied by the mysterious local kite surfer, Vance Everett.
Lauren didn’t realize Mindy knew Vance when he was young, and she says his family is bad news. Lauren ignores Mindy’s warnings, and decides to live in the moment, a characteristic she’s never given into.
It isn’t until Vance’s late night meetings, womanizing friends, and eerily intrigued father, causes dangerous questions to form in Lauren’s mind, questions she’s too afraid to know the answers to.
The Riptide Series is close to my heart because I’ve based the setting off special places from my childhood and adult life, blending the locations beautifully. But, with every good story, there is a villain, and The Riptide series deals with heavy subject matter.
If you love the idea of lounging in the sand, the ocean waves humming in your ears and the sea breeze kissing your cheeks, dive into the action-packed, somewhat twisted, romance of a lifetime, The Riptide Series.
The first book was just the beginning—don’t stop now. The heat only intensifies in Resist – Book Two.
Or surrender completely with The Riptide: Complete Series.
